Housing Costs Cost Communities
As housing costs rise relative to incomes more and more housing expenses are not only extracted from families budgets but are also extracted from local communities.
The more money a household spends on a mortgage or rent the less money remains in the community. Less money is spent locally at local businesses, less sales tax revenue is generated for local governments, and less money is available for supporting local organizations and impacts philanthropic giving.
Measuring Impact
Data is the cornerstone to measure impact and replicate success or, at times, iterate from what may at first seem like a failure.
Data, analytics, and relationships are at the heart of The North Carolina Fund's strategies and programs because tracking, evaluation, and trust are the core of good stewardship.
